The 100th Year Celebration and the 2019 Freedom Fund Dinner – The NAACP – Maricopa County Branch will celebrate its centennial during the 2019 Annual Freedom Fund Dinner on Friday, April 26, 2019. Our theme is “100 Years Of Progress That Secures Our Future.” We are inviting you to join us in celebration as we mark this historic occasion where we will recognize the NAACP as the country’s oldest civil rights organization.
Since 1919, the Maricopa County Branch of the NAACP has been fulfilling the promise of equal rights for all people by fighting for and addressing civil rights issues in Maricopa County and throughout Arizona. Today, our branch is proud to carry on the goals and objectives of the NAACP National Office and continues to be active in providing equality for all citizens in Arizona. I am very proud to serve as the president of such a distinguished organization.
Over the years, the Maricopa County Branch of NAACP has made great strides to increase its membership and to advance our mission to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination throughout Arizona.
We plea with all persons living in Arizona to get involved and help us grow this organization, which will results in more to power and more voices. We welcome your ideas and expertise in helping develop strategies on our continued journey for justice and equality. The struggle for Civil Rights needs “All Boots” on the ground more than ever.
If you are currently a member of the NAACP, thank you for your continued support. If you are not currently a member, we ask for your support and your membership, WE NEED YOU.
