Happy Father’s Day to those Fathers who show up for their families and those fathers who would like to show up for their families but are not able to because of a multitude of society constraints.
As we celebrate this historic weekend with the implementation of a federal Juneteenth Holiday; let us rejoice in that celebration and recognize all the fathers and father figures who have helped make this a reality for the country. Let us celebrate the fathers and father figures today because we realize the often-difficult struggle that men of color endure. Let us celebrate all the strong, resilient, and caring fathers and father figures who help fight for everyone’s freedom.
